Tremont was the first sign that Wade was going to bring some exciting basketball to LSU. Still remember a tournament game his first year when he went crazy and no one could stop him. A little weird that Puerto Rica has their own olympic team. Last I checked they were still part of the US?...
The high is a tie between beating Alabama and winning the national championship in 2019. The low would be the Shaq/Chris Jackson team that had so much talent our third string could have started for other teams but we didn't even win the SEC....
This is hilarious. Sarcasm at it's finest. ...
Yeah, I like Will Wade as a person and a coach. Miles I liked as a person, although he had the wool pulled over my eyes, but hated him as a gameday coach. Archer I liked when he was winning and never understood what actually happened to make so many despise him. Dinardo was another who I liked as a ...

re: This is the year of McMahon?

In the modern game of shooting threes alternated by driving and trying to dunk, guards are more valuable than big guys with bad hands who have trouble getting up and down the court and whose idea of good defense is not to foul out. Sure it is nice to have big guys who are good athletes but LSU is no...
I do the same thing. Always get my hopes up only to have them crushed as reality sets in. McMahon has to find a way to meld these guys into a true team who shares the ball, hustles on defense and takes advantage of individual players skills. I don't think we necessarily have to have a "center" who p...
It is interesting that instead of answer my question you brought up issues that had nothing to do with an actual play on the court or field. And how exactly do you know how I responded to those examples you gave, some of whom I don't even know who you are talking about. Seems as though you know th...
Okay Mr. know it all. When your teammate commits an illegal non basketball play that had the potential to harm another player and you jump up off the bench and start clapping and applauding, if not classless what words would you use? Just curious....
Seems as though they penalize you if you are on a bad team and likewise reward you if your team is winning. That really doesn't have a whole lot to do with individual ability. Pete never played for a winning pro team but it didn't stop his being the greatest of the 70's....
This is sort of a documentary. Lot of comment by other players. https://youtu.be/swHmiNyzHPM?feature=shared ...
This isn't a documentary but is a highlight film. https://youtu.be/n8qUZILi8IM?feature=shared...
“Just being able to have somebody that understands me as a Black woman, that looks like me,” the former LSU star said. “Who knows what I’ve been through, and understands me from that perspective.”
so here is the original quote in case you forgot it. If a black woman coach is the only...
I think you would have to be in your 80's to have seen him play at LSU. When he turned pro none of the games were televised in Baton Rouge that I know of. Imagine you young guys of an era when there were two tv stations that came in on an antenna, the NBA was not that popular and all of the teams we...
Didn't take her very long to throw Mulkey under the bus. ...

You mean he is jogging without a shirt on and hanging out in bars with fake blondes?...
Carter who only shot 39% will be one of our primary offensive weapons? Wow, another long season if that is the case. ...
Ability to shoot deep threes translates to any league. The question is whether McMahon can devise an offense that both let's him shoot those threes and gets him free to shoot them. At 5'11" he needs some screens and quick passes to get him open. ...
yes, lets give advice to the woman with 4 NC’s as a coach, 1 as an assistant and Olympic Gold medal and NC as a player and who took over a program that went 9-23 to 26-6, 34-2 and a NC and 31-6 to an elite 8 with her best power forward out for the year in December. You know it must be a tough job to be one of these evaluators of high school talent. They must rate hundreds of players all over the country. I guess they have to figure in things like athletic talent, height, weight, skills, mental attitude and who knows what else. Then they give them 1 to 5 stars,...
