His ex-wife sued him for her half of his buyout money and she was awarded 8.13 Million which he still hasn't paid her, probably because he already spent most of it. So yes he damn well needs money very badly.

Someone, please anyone, tell me why we are signing such a second rate player? I researched him on the net and he apparently only played 8 games in 2024-25 and 5 games in 2025-26. He was drafted by the Celtics but that was 6 years ago. In his European career he never played more than 30 minutes a game and his stats were average at best. Is this the best we can do? And forget the 5 million. You would have to be brain dead to pay this guy such a sum.

Mac Mcclung has a year left but I don't think that would work even if he wanted to.

Well one good reason is that apparently the rich donors didn't want to pay Mcmahon's buyout unless they could get Wade back. I enjoy women's basketball but the men's will always be first for me. All of LSU's sports are in full blown competition to get their share of the pie and Kim and her staff get a big piece compared to the revenue they bring in.

I agree. No island tournament for either men or women. Why should LSU pay for them to have a vacation during the season? Plus, the streaming coverage is always bad and fans have to pay extra money to see it. Also, Mulkey should stop playing cream puffs and play some real teams before SEC and if that affects her won/loss record negatively then so be it. Playing ranked teams should also increase the revenue flow.

This is so absurd that it should be banned. Number one, Mulkey is about to retire in a couple of years or so. Number two, the men and women's game is so different that she would be at a disadvantage. And most importantly, macho men basketball players would not want to play for a woman coach. I am sure Mulkey herself would never want to take on such a huge challenge in the twilight of her career. She wants to stay home and play with the grandkids.

Mcmahon's system may be okay on offense but the defense and rebounding this year were abysmal. Here is a list of what he lacked.

1. Defensive schemes which could be adjusted both for different teams and also in game adjustments. How many times did we work hard for a score only to give up an open shot or easy layup on the other end?
2. I don't suppose it can be taught so we will chalk up to bad talent evaluation that our players universally had bad hands on rebounds and catching passes.
3. His rotations and timeouts were weird and inefficient.
4. He recruited talent that would work at the small college level but not in the SEC. Sutton was a perfect example. MVP of the Summit League. Can you even name a school in this league. Overpowered on defense and intimidated on short shots.
So his eye for talent was bad. They had flashes but little consistency. I will give the team credit for never quitting and playing hard but with the injuries and McMahon refusing to play anyone but six or seven players for the most part, they were tired by the end of games.

In many ways, this was the worst we have played all year. So many easy shots missed, rebounds fumbled away, terrible defense, turnovers, oh yeah. . . !! And possibly the even less forgivable thing was that Coach Mac left the starters in way too long. When they started to pull away in the second half, he should have called a timeout and put in fresh players who would at least play with some enthusiasm instead of the obvious apathy of the others. Even Miller's blocks didn't matter because we somehow didn't get possession many times afterwords. Just disgusted with the season and this joke of a coach who recruits players and then doesn't trust them enough to put them in the game.

Before the SEC contract, didn't you have to buy the ESPN+ to see baseball games. That's just a vague memory so apologies if not true.

It sounds like you want welfare for baseball. Tax the other teams and give baseball the money they earned. I am sure that just because baseball earns more ticket sales, you wouldn't want to have basketball take some of them.
Some of the numbers are 9.4 million watch the college basketball tournament and 1.3 million watch the college baseball World Series. College baseball fans don't seem to be able to get their heads around the fact that two thirds of the country don't care about their sport.
