This isn't hockey.

Our QB is Danny Etling. The offense is built around his skill set, which is very limited. It’s not rocket science

How do you expect to compete in the West when you're being outscored by every other team?

Let's see...

Auburn...Didn't outscore us
Ole Miss...Didn't outscore us
Arkansas....Nope
UF....Didn't
Tenn...Won't
aTm....We own them like Bama owns us

So...

Maybe you don't understand stats that well?

Considering Gus' history of sitting on leads, it's not an outrageous thought.

I was pretty drunk that game ( I know shocker lol) but I don’t remember Auburn being totally vanilla on offense. I remember our db’s knocking down passes and locking down their receivers. Did Gus also go vanilla on defense, because it sure looked like our offense came to life as well?

I'm willing to see how he does in year 2. A year in his system and a QB who isn't Danny Etling.

OP is actually making a decent point, unbeknownst to him.

For the most part, the offense moves well- LSU averages 6.32 Yards per Play, which is 32nd in the nation. We HAVE to do a better job converting yardage into points. Too many stupid penalties and mistakes happen when we get into the plus side of the field.

LSU is currently 103rd in yards per point. Of the 27 teams below us, only 2 have a winning record...pretty crummy company. Even mediocre production in this category would get that PPG number up above 30 where it needs to be.

Exactly. As long as we’re winning. 27 a game isn’t bad with the defense playing so well

Yeah 6-2 in conference will be better than a lot of people thought, but we did catch some breaks this year. Florida was a gift, and Auburn was a choke by them. Could easily be 4-4 or worse.

can we be any more negative... ??

if a frog had wings it would not bump its arse

Florida missed a point ... part of the game as were other plays.
Auburn got totally outplayed by LSU the second half..if I remember they had as many players on the field as we did.
..if their coached played badly, does not diminish our efforts.

stop looking thru the negative glasses all the time.

He just isnt very good and the coaches have to hide him.

Yet, he's so bad that not a single other recruit can beat him out of the job.

IF that aint discouraging, I dont know what is.

Gee, I sure wish we were Ole Miss, A&M or Arkansas so we wouldn't be last in the West in this stat...

I wonder had Lindsey Scott remained at LSU if he would have ever been given a look at on offense this season or if they would have just stuck with Myles who doesn't bring anything new to the table that Etling doesn't already bring. I really would have liked to have seen what that guy could have added if anything.

you can add 50+ points to that stat if we hit a third of the deep balls we missed.

Eye candy is meant to be enjoyed slowly and with a good stiff drink..... All the pre-snap motions to nowhere are fun to watch.
Don't get burdened down in statistics.

Outscoring people isn't only dependent on offense IMO

Defense this season has played a major role and surprising special teams at time has as well

Offense isn't ranked high but I like that its not predictable anymore
