Why do so many people dislike the yellow and orange Starburst chews?

Personally, I love those two flavors, particularly the orange. It's the RED cherry ones that I have problems with.

Yellow and pink are my favorites. Then red. I throw the orange ones away.

When I take off in a plane I'm usually chewing on something for my ears to pop. One flight, it was Starburst. During that takeoff I bit my tongue the hardest I've ever bitten it and there was lots of blood that I couldn't do anything about except continue to swallow it. The worst part was that I was headed to Vegas for a culinary extravaganza.

Starburst are hanging on due to nostalgia.
If Starburst came out today, they wouldn't last on the market for six months. Terrible candy. So many superior firm chewy sugary sour candies on the market today.

I loathe yellow. Yet, when i buy starbursts, every pack is LOADED with at least 50% of the package being yellow. Is "yellow" flavor somehow cheaper?
