Loss to Troy at home and 30 point loss to miss state.
I will be surprised if LSU stays within 30 of Bama. I'm expecting a blood bath.
Brees has great statistics and has been a great QB. However, a good portion of his numbers are garbage time stats. Brees is a top 20 QB all time, but not top 10.
Do you think I should throw away my Besh cookbook in my kitchen? It's signed and a pretty hardcover book with good recipes. Does the author's indiscretions cancel out his good works?
Starburst are hanging on due to nostalgia.
If Starburst came out today, they wouldn't last on the market for six months. Terrible candy. So many superior firm chewy sugary sour candies on the market today.

Paying off home mortgage vs investing

Posted by LSUgal1988 on 10/24/17 at 6:50 am
I imagine this is a well discussed topic here, so sorry if I'm beating a dead horse asking this question.

My partner and I have over 50% of our incomes as discretionary.

We have no debt except our house mortgage.

We have maxed out on retirement accounts.

I believe firmly that our 30 year mortgage at about a 3.2% rate is essentially free money thanks to the government.

I have never lost money long term in the stockmarket. I've averaged 12% annual returns in my lifetime.

My partner believes we need to dump at least some of our excess income into paying down the mortgage.

We argue about it -- I say that for every year we pay $50,000 extra on the mortgage, we're losing about $4500 in stock market gains. Partner's argument rests in the high total cost of the interest over time, which I call sticker shock.

The only three arguments I can find for paying the mortgage down is you own the house, you eliminate debt, and the stockmarket returns are no guarantee. Considerable positives, but I play the averages, and I feel like if I pay off a 3% loan quicker than I have to it means I'm burning money.

What are your thoughts?
It's clear you know nothing more about drug use in Nazi Germany than a simple one liner you read from some meme. Not surprising that a druggie like yourself would be so ignorant and make unsubstantiated claims.
Obviously not a student of history are you. Not surprising. Hitler was addicted to meth, cocaine and opiates. Go read a book, little child.
So I guess this is the druggie's version of if you are anti drug you are a book burning Nazi. What a moron that guy is.
You quoted someone who said that. I was responding to their claim that you quoted

I never ate at his restaurants but I thought his show on pbs was bad. Guy grew up in the suburbs acting like he's a bayou Cajun when it suites him and a refined New Orleanian when he wanted that projection. He always seemed fake to me on tv.
Have to think a a substantial percentage of money invested is in retirement plans. If that money dried up due to new lower limits, wouldn't that have a pretty big negative impact on the stock market?
If people can be banned for posting vulgarity, porn and copyright material, then why should people who post pro drug propaganda be allowed to post?
If positive stories and jokes about drugs were not influential, advertising would not be a multi billion dollar business. There is no doubt in my mind decisions and opinions about drugs, among other things, have been influenced by the words, jokes and stories on this board.

And guess what -- many people on here do have issues. It's why they're here.
