The world lost a prince of a man and one of the best cooks to ever grip a spoon. Say a prayer for my friend please, may he rest in peace.

I'm stunned and so sorry to read this. Gee is one of my favorite posters here. He's obviously a top notch person in addition to being a great cook with great advice. This is shocking. Rest in peace, Gee. You will be missed here and I'm sure by all who knew you IRL. Prayers for you and your family and friends. Darn.

Wow! RIP to that guy. One of my favorite posters on the food board.

Anyone want to share what happened and how old he was?

TreeDawg I am very sorry to here this. He fed me too at the same tailgate Owlie mentions. You, he and I knew and know a lot of the same people and I've always enjoyed communicating with both of you here and learned a lot about cooking from you as well. Always a civil, enthusiastic discussion over food of all things and shows how something as simple as red beans or cornbread or growing tomatos can bring out the best in people even complete strangers.

The pages of responses on here-an anonymous message board, that he is receiving is a testament to his good fortune while he lived his life on this earth. I hope you and his family can take solace in knowing that you all enjoyed one of gods greatest gifts and greatest earthly blessings-that of a man complete. Father, son, husband and friend.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to all and may god bless his wonderful soul.
