What's the smartest thing your pet ever learned?

My ole' lady's cat learned to turn both my PS4 and blue ray player off when I was ignoring it.
She learned by following the cord of the controller to the device and would bat her paw until it shut off, then she'd stand right in front of my face until I fed her.

My cat doesn't click on your threads so he has that going for him.

Trained my dog to ring a bell on her own when she needed to go outside when she was 9 weeks old.

My lab will jump into the bathtub to shite/piss in the ultra rare instance he can't hold it.
Bleach and run the shower for 15 min and all good.

Had a dog once that had the ability to somehow get two thick juicy steaks off of a searing hot grill in the eight seconds I had my back turned.

My stepdaughters cat learned to run the frick away when I'm near her.

Chocolate lab could open the fridge. We didn't train him to do it either. We had to bungee cord it shut.
He never did anything cool like get me a beer out of there. Just helped himself to leftovers a couple of times.

How the hell did you teach him that?

My dog would "whisper" bark when I told him to use his inside voice.
He'd also take a treat out of your hand in such a delicate way that he wouldn't disturb a fly on your knuckle just by saying "gentle."
My last dog was a damn genius. My current one is an idiot, but she'd let a group of toddlers climb on her and punch her in the face while she ate without so much as a growl.

My dog learned how to wait until we put a new skirt around the Christmas tree before he pissed on it.

Our cat plays fetch with those hair bands. I throw, she retrieves. It's cool and weird. Brings them back in her mouth and drops them at my feet. She also likes to catch my socks, mid-air, paws outstretched. Really funny stuff.

How'd you manage to teach her that? Hell, 9 weeks is impressive to be trained to go outside by itself. The bell thing takes it to another whole level.

My old dog could find the food network no matter what was on tv. We put a camera up to watch. He would basically paw at the remote until he saw other dogs or food. Since dish remotes don't have to be aimed he had it made.
Unfortunately he pawed the AC remote one day and nearly doed of heat stroke.
