I've never seen the excitement about a freaking supermarket and a gas station like that which comes from Texans.
I, for one, enjoy the better quality of life. Admittedly, it spoiled me. Can't tell you how many times traveling in LA I wish there was a decent truck stop to take my little ones to use the restroom. Instead have to settle for puddles of piss and mounds of pubic hairs.
I guess that's one reason.

Well, on Saturday, I'm making one stop to get my whiskey and meat to prepare for LSU baseball. Enjoy the extra stop. Don't forget to reply to this thread when you in line to buy liquor. I'll reply from my couch.

This. Also my HEB ordered Savoie's sausage just because I asked and called me when it came in. One knock is seafood prices in TX are generally expensive.

Texas alcohol laws are terrible.

They're ridiculous everywhere, even off the docks.

Anytime y'all are in virginia or north, please stop by wegmans. You will not be disappointed, especially with the milfs up and down the aisles.

Especially the one in lakeway. That place is a milf show.

I go there 5 times a week minimum. Some days I go there and just walk around admiring everything without making a purchase

LOL at having to go to the grocery store. Have that shite delivered to you.

I'm all about HEB, but I go to Kroger as well. My wife goes to about 5 different grocery stores a week.

Been to some pretty nice Vons and Ralph's Signature in SAn Diego. Underground parking FTW

Krogers/Randall's has better meat and better priced beer
Posted on 6/8/17 at 12:13 am to droman225
Agreed. My neighbor grocery is HEB Plus in Lakeline. shite is dope.
Posted on 6/8/17 at 12:23 am to droman225
Why do you think this? I don't see anything special there. Some HEB's are nice and some not so nice. As you travel around this country there are many nice, nice grocery stores.

Google search best grocery store in America. There's a reason Wegmans is always at the top when they rank them

i assume Safeway is at the bottom? hate safeway but they dominate this area

I've lived in 8-9 states over the years. And have seen a lot of different chains.
HEB is the best, then Publix. Mostly, because Publix can be very overpriced on a lot of regular things. But in terms of quality and selection, they're both very comparable.
If you're strictly judging by produce, nothing beats Sprouts. The other items in the store are overpriced organics and new age bullshite, similar to whole foods. But for produce, Sprouts is the shite. It helps that they have regular and organic. I'm not paying for an organic orange.
And to whoever is talking shite about a grocery store conversation, you must have never lived in a town with truly shitty grocery stores. In Fayetteville, AR, it's so damn bad, I'm doing almost all of my shopping at Walmart. I fricking hate it, but Harps is shitty here. I love the idea of an employee owned store, and would even pay a little extra, because frick Walmart. But yet, I'm there a couple times a week. And it hurts my soul every time.
