I am so spoiled with Parish that I haven't been down to any of the NOLA breweries. Who is the best, IYO? This means actual breweries, not just beer bars.

NOLA
Second Line
Wayward Owl
Brieux Carre'
Urban South
Courtyard

The fact that you named that long list and still left off one (Parleaux Brewery) and one about to open (Port Orleans Brewing) makes me happy of the progress the city has made in quality local options.

To answer your question, they all offer quality but different options, including atmosphere. It really depends on what you're looking for.

Port Orleans looks open to me. Haven't gone in but the last couple days they looked open.

Don't forget about 40 Arpent in da parish. I'd go with Urban South as my favorite.

I haven't a couple of the newest ones, but I still think NOLA reigns supreme. They have the best beers top to bottom, imo.

NOLA use to be the only good brewery in the area but they have gotten surpassed. Urban South is the NOLA GOAT

has Urban South produced enough beer to be labeled this?

NOLA has made legit stouts, some nice sours, and everything else with the majority being average to damn good

not sure Urban South can be the GOAT by making a few decent hoppy offerings

I, personally, think Courtyard is making the best beer in NOLA though

Courtyard
NOLA
Urban South

Are the only three currently worth mentioning. Courtyard has the best brews but Nola tops all in atmosphere (and their 004 IPA can hang with the best in the state). Urban south is making strides with Modillion and Final but has a ways to go.

Courtyard, but NOLA sours are probably my favorite beers out of New Orleans.

Port Orleans is having a soft opening on May 9th, with a grand opening celebration on May 13th.

The tasting room is pretty extraordinary; really a fantastic space.

The restaurant on the property will feature elevated cuisine intended to be paired with certain brews.

Port Orleans is going to do very well.
