over the past 24 hour or so, i have become more intrigued at the thought of hill playing the 4 next to AD

the biggest thing is that AD isn't bogut so i don't know if he can be another "draymond"

It's going to happen in small ball lineups but it's not going to be how we start games and it won't be huge minutes.

AD just doesn't want to play Center full time. I like it though to finish games.

Fans thinking Hill will be the paradigm SF will be bitching after game 1.

He is a combo guy. His best role, at least to start his contract, will be as a 4. His offensive skills stand out there much more than as a 3.

They bought him for defense. If he can hold up as a small 4, they have the beginnings of something interesting

Well on the plus side we’re halfway through the deal.

I saw the same kind of justification of the Asik deal after a few days last year. Now, literally everyone says they hated it at the time.

I better not see more than 3 people say they hated the Hill deal next summer when he doesn't come close to living up to it.

- Crewz, page 7

This was such an obvious deal to hate in the moment. But optimism bias gets the best of everyone at times. Sometimes, most times, the obvious is just correct.

James Johnson was my suggestion. I said to sign a placeholder for a year or two and stay flexible

'm not declaring that he will be good or bad. I think he is the type you take a chance on, and I'll judge this contract when I feel I have seen enough of the guy on this team.

Update: Have seen enough of the guy on the team, therefore can judge it. I hate it.

This fits my take a chance to get better narrative, although 12/yr isn't quite 5-8. Still cautiously optimistic.

God if my popularity around here was based on not looking dumb in these threads, I’d actually be liked.

Crewz is dropping dimes way ahead of time calling this disaster.

He's been injured.

Everyone seemed hopeful.

Has he lost it?

12 million. A chunky mid sized forward who is not all that good from 3.

He better bring serious d.

I think the beginning of this upcoming season will really let us know how good or bad (or really bad) our investment in Solo was. I cant/won’t count this past post season as he was clearly recovering still from the injury. With a full offseason of healthy practice behind him, I we should all have a clear idea if he was truly overpaid (or more realistically, HOW overpaid).
