You ol' lady can see it just fine. That's kind of all that matters.

That's pretty much me. I have never been inside a gym, never lifted a weight in my life and haven't ran in over 20 years ... I'm a fat arse
This type of attitude is the reason why people get angry at fat people.
On another note, do you fatties not worry about your health? I was overweight and my health really started to decline. I lost 60 pounds about a year ago and have never felt better. Being fat is not just about looking like shite, you will feel like shite and die early. Do you really not care?

Everybody is gong to die .. Hate to tell you that ...
If my lifestyle is causing me to be a fat arse I would rather enjoy it now than those extra 20 years I might live when I'm 75 or 80 !!!

I get that. I used to say that to people when they would say I would die from smoking and drinking excessively. I have since quit smoking and drinking. Not saying you need to be as extreme as I have been, but maybe think about the people who care about you.

This type of thinking is very flawed. I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at 39 and my doctor said if I continued with my current lifestyle I might not live to see 50. That scared the shite out of me. Now my blood sugar and A1C is lower than my doctor's.
Also, the first person in my high school graduating class just died last year at 39 from a heart attack while he was napping. He was very fat and out of shape and it killed him at 39. Think about that when you look at your loved ones...

What a strange question. There are people I respect that are fat. They are good people that have done good deeds and helped others.
Then there are fat fricks like BRgethenet that are just fat bastards.

I take people as they come and judge them by the content of their character. I know physically beautiful people that I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.
You appear to be a terribly shallow individual.

What I really wonder is 'why'...did something happen, is it a matter of genetics, is there an addiction to foods, is there a medication in play...what is going on that you risk so many other complications directly related to weight

How many thin people in here eat whatever they want and don't exercise? Be honest.

I had a Dr. Pepper and a bag of skittles for breakfast, and look to be very fit.

And I could eat 1 M&M and it would go straight to my gut.

Me. I used to be very athletic. Now, as I've gotten older, my body is breaking down. I'm pretty sure I have arthritis in my hip and shoulder. Fairly positive that all the running, diving, sliding, jumping, without worrying about what it's doing to me had an effect on me.
I weigh myself every day to make sure my weight doesn't get out of hand. I weigh about 205. If I get to 210, then I will go to the gym. Burn what I need and then that's it. I tell myself I need to go more and am interested in it, but once I start, I just don't like lifting weights. It's not fun. It's not interesting. I just don't like it.
I don't eat insanely. I don't eat very large portions. But as far as the food goes and the ingredients, I'll admit is probably not the best in the world.
I shift back and forth between terrible eating habits and just ok eating habits.
At work, I climb a lot of stairs. I bend and squat and walk a lot if we're busy. So there's that.

I'm in this boat. Blessed with good genes. I typically do a decent job of portion control but eat as much as I want.

Me. God granted me a maintenance-free body, but I still can't shake my disdain for the fatties.
After being an expat for several years (I highly recommend that), I return to my beloved State to find a mass of gas station-chitlin eating fatties, with no regard for their health, which drives up my insurance premiums (actually not really because my Tricare insurance is heavily subsidized by the tax payers), but you understand the point.

I always wonder why they have to be fat, friends included. I also wonder the same about smokers and dippers and lazy people. Oh well, back to my kale salad and salmon patty.

It depends. When I see people with a yard wide arse on a rascal at the mall, Disney, etc then no, I do not. I mean I respect them as a human being; the mean something to somebody.
What pisses me off is that there are people who have legitimate handicaps and need those. And I don't care if they do pay for them.
And I say this knowing that I am morbidly obese at 25lbs over weight and deserving of a horrible death.

If you're lazy and entitled and fat, sure, I dislike you.
If you're fat and a good employee/parent/child/human/neighbor, no, I don't care.

Respect should be earned, not given. And IMHO that has nothing to do with appearance. So I guess I respect fat people just as much as I do people who train like pro athletes for a color run while drinking kale juice from a sippy cup
