Do You Respect Fat People?

I don’t.
How could you? Any way you cut it, overweight = lazy.
Most of you are the reason this society is trending toward the lib-topia where ‘safe spaces’ and ‘hate speech’ are becoming the norm, but I refuse to give into the progressives idea of ‘fat shaming’.
Every time I return to the beloved Pelican State, I am amazed at how the MAJORITY of your average citizen are not just out of shape, but obese.
At what point did you realize you were obese, and would never get back in shape?

This thread is neither original nor thought-provoking. You definitely posted it to the right message board.

It amazes me that some people esp men do zero exercise. No cardio, no weights, and have a desk job. Never crosses their mind to even go for a walk.

Nope.

I mostly feel sad for them because they are a population of unhappy, unhealthy prisoners of their own bad choices, who could turn this fat misery thing around with a total life style makeover.
Healthy food choices, portion control, moderate exercise-like daily walking 5-10,000 steps daily, running, biking, swimming or gym stuff. Or some combination of any/all. No soft drinks at all. Ever. Absolutely minimal fast food and processed grocery foods (canned, boxed, pre prepared items) eating. And total commitment to this long haul change. The biggest thing is to just start.

Nope. My beta-arse supposed boss if fat. Always tries to make an excuse by saying he used to be "ripped" until he did a tough mudder two years ago and it made him sick. He says he couldn't work out of run since, like a little bitch.
Long-story short, Nope.
English? Please?

That's pretty much me. I have never been inside a gym, never lifted a weight in my life and haven't ran in over 20 years ... I'm a fat arse and quite frankly don't trust guys who are gym rats and wear smmedium shirts all the time

i do feel a small bit sorry because i know what its like to be addicted to food and i think its a real addiction.
i dont feel that sorry though because anyone can change. i lost 70 lbs 8 years ago and have kept it off by making healthy changes and its still a daily struggle with food, but everyone can try.
i know plenty of fat people and everytime we go eat out they eat like a fatass
my sisters fiance is 320 lbs and gained 100 lbs since his back surgery a year ago. he keeps saying hes going to lose the 100 lbs by the wedding next january but we went to dinner with them last week at a tex mex place and he got a whole appetizer platter(4 people could have eaten it) plus a full entree with 3 HUGE sugary margaritas. i had my usual dry chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. shite like that i dont feel 1 bit sorry for.

Nice troll. You should get some angry responses.

I respect subtlety in trolling. There is clearly none of that here.

Yes I do respect them especially in one situation.
When I see them working out.
I want to shout good job or give them a high five but I know they would assume I am making fun of them.
People are cruel in society. It's a shame.

Depends on the fat person. Some people have them genetic issues. Some people have injuries and pain management. I'd say the fat people I don't respect are those who fatness is a side effect of being lazy. So yeah like half the state of Louisiana.

Everyone has someone who looks down on them. No matter how much we think of ourselves, we're someone's schmuck

What's the point of going out to eat then? You could just fix that at home. Sounds boring and tasteless.
Posted on 5/23/16 at 6:57 am to Womski
How could I? They don't even respect themselves.

Sounds like he's enjoying life a lot more than you. Plus he's banging your sister

It's all about balance. I had some beers and chips and salsa and rice and beans. To compensate I had chicken fajitas and veggies with no oil and tortillas. Don't see the issue. It all fit in my macros for the day
I also have a soft spot for the fat people working out. There is a lady at my gym who has been doing the treadmill and lifting for the past month and she is probably 350 lbs. I'm so proud of her. Every journey begins with a first step
