Makes sense now. I even got a little water under the console when I didn't run the live-well. I guess some water just comes in when you put the boat in the water?

No, it shouldn't be leaking too bad. How much is a little? I have heard multiple stories about livewells leaking. Try running a hose to each of your livewell intakes and see if any water is found in the hull. If you do find some you need to replace your love well hose for whichever is leaking.

1991 Shadow 200 VT tunnel hull bass boat. Bought this boat in 08 and had to sell a few years later for financial reasons. Just got it back last month. Had a 225 Yamaha when I had it before, has an old 150 Merc on it now but I am shopping for another 225. Ran 78 GPS with 2 large humans and a tourney load before, hoping to get that into mid 80's eventually. Just put an OMC 12/24 trolling motor on it, and it's currently getting a Garmin 73SV installed. Finiky bastard to drive, only weighs 1000 lbs, but a fun hot rod that fishes great and sips fuel.

Agreed. If you're going too fast to drink a beer, I'm not interested.

That's what I love about this boat. Being a mod tunnel vee you can drive it with one hand at 80 just like a car. Hydralic steering helps a lot too. Though it has tried to kill me once, prop blew out (lost bite) running about 65 and did a bat turn. Slung my buddy into my lap. Let a friend borrow it once, he hit a head wind and stood it straight up.

My first boat was a 340V Ranger. I had the 150 built and it was a freaking death trap. Chine walk, airborn on boat wakes, arse end would wiggle around. Hit a 4 footer once and went so high the prop was about 5' above the water. To me a boat is no fun if it doesn't try to kill you every now and then

1997 171 DC Tournament Champion w/Merc 115. Still runs and works great. Upgraded to a Minn Kota 70 lbs. thrust 24 volt trolling motor on it a couple years ago.

We've had it since 1998...
