re: 460/454 - Bama Shadow
I would get a .454 because it can be had in reasonably sized guns. Those x frame smiths are ignorantly gigantic.
I agree with this as well. The Taurus or Ruger 454 is are both easy to carry with a good holster and not so heavy you get tired just holding the damn thing up. I can put...

re: 460/454 - Bama Shadow
I've got a Taurus Raging Hunter 454 and had a raging Bull 454 previously. It's a fun gun to shoot either plinking or will full house stuff. I would advise you that if you plan to shoot it a lot to look into reloading. 2.00 every time you pull the trigger gets old fast. Yes you can shoot 45lc through...

Hydro Turf - Bama Shadow
I sold the death trap Shadow and bought an old Stratos 201 Pro and ordered Hydro Turf for the floors instead of carpet. Any of you guys have any tricks or tips for the install ? I didn't get the 3M backed because that would have been another 160.00 and I'm poor. Plan is to use Weldwood contact cemen...

re: Budget graphics card question - Bama Shadow
Well the one I posted was on sale but now appears to be off again. They do have the RX 580 GTS Black edition for 180.00. Is that something like you were talking about ? re: Garmin Echo card help - Bama Shadow
All that means is if you mark a waypoint on say the front unit, it will also show up on the back and vice versa. As for the wiring get a piece of red/black speaker wire and on the console unit attach the blue wire to red speaker wire and brown wire to black speaker wire. Then run the speaker wire to...

re: Garmin Echo card help - Bama Shadow
I think you would have to buy the lakeVu card from Garmin for freshwater. They have a list of lakes on their site I think. The HD ones are 1' contours I think. Also to add, if you have 2 units and want them to share waypoints then connect the blue wire on one unit to the brown wire of the other a...

re: Lowrance experts needed. - Bama Shadow
The good thing about Lowrance is you can buy just the head unit without any accessories. There are plenty on the used market sold that way as well. I'd find out which generation and model will do what you want and start there. [link=(https://bassfishin250electronics.com/)]These guys[/link] have ...

re: Garmin Echo card help - Bama Shadow
If it's a 73 then it should have good base maps pre-loaded. Garmin bought Navionics a year or so ago and integrates their data with Garmin's. I have 2 73SV's and both came loaded with maps. If not you can get a card from Garmin as I think that's the only cards you can run. I have one with LakeVu and...

re: Major League Fishing - Live Today - Bama Shadow
How is Jason Lambert doing? (Or is he even fishing in this tournament?)
He didn't make the cut from his group. Finished 25th or so and needed to be top 20 to move on. re: North Alabama and Middle Tennessee Baws Buckle Up for the Weather Tomorrow - Bama Shadow
I've been here 47 years myself and can't say I can remember seeing it across Savannah Hwy either. But I can remember dead fish in the dugouts at McFarland when I played little league there. As far as fishing last year was the worst year we have had fishing in years and I think the flood contribu...

re: Mercury Optimax 200 Questions - Bama Shadow
Biggest thing I'm aware of about Opti's are the compressors. Ask if it has been changed as there have been several go out in the 500-600 hour range on bass boats. Don't know if the same applies to yall's king of boats but would be worth looking at I think. I think they are around 1500.00 to replace....

re: Another hunting scope recommendation request - Bama Shadow
I have a Weaver tactical 4-20x50 and it's a lot of scope for the money. Strong internals and Japanese glass. I have used it to see deer 200 yds across a field at last light that I couldn't see with the naked eye. [link=(https://www.natchezss.com/weaver-tactical-rifle-scope-4-20x50mm-sf-mil-dot-r...

re: Anyone into reloading? - Bama Shadow
I reload to save money on my handgun and for accuracy on my rifle. I bought a mold and started casting pistol bullets and can shoot my 454 Casull for .06 per round. What helped was I already had the lead furnace and powder coating from making fishing lures. On my rifle I have a Savage Axis in 270 th...

re: Ford v. Ferrari, new Christian Bale film - Bama Shadow
Just got home from seeing this. I went in skeptical because I am a life long Ford guy and big Ford Racing fan so I knew the story well. I came away more than pleased at how it was portrayed. A very well made movie that stuck to the story for the most part. I was also pleasantly surprised at Damon's ...
