re: Someone tell me about Hammond, La - Mark Makers
Spent 4 years there in the late 2000s. Absolutely loved it. There are a couple "sketchy" spots, but they are easily avoidable. They have a a couple of nice neighborhoods/areas but if you're looking for a big, new construction, you'll have to venture out some. If I bought a house in Hammond...

re: Croatia - Mark Makers
If I was doing my first trip over again, I really wouldn't change anything except remove a day from Dubrovnik. My wife would say use the extra day in Zagreb. It was more of a quick stop since the airport was there and not really on our radar since we were more after the coastal towns/scenery, but...

re: Croatia - Mark Makers
We did a road trip from Zagreb down to Dubrovnik over a 10 day period. I gotta be honest, Dubrovnik was our least favorite stop. It was so much more of a tourist trap feel to it than the rest of the places we visited along the way, everything seemed to be more expensive there too. We stayed 2.5 d...

re: Lunch in Hammond - Mark Makers
There's no shortage of good food in Hammond, lately our favorite casual spots have been Tacos and Beer and Pour House. Both have good craft beer selections if your into that. At Tacos and Beer, highly recommend Choriqueso appetizer and Quesabirria entree....

re: 12' Kayak - Mark Makers
What about hauling two yaks? Any good recs instead of buying a trailer to haul them ?
You could get a bed rack that puts them up over the cab of the truck and still allows bed space for all the gear. I've seen people roll with 2 kayaks in bed of truck also pretty often but with the...

re: What can you tell me about the Construction Management program at LSU? - Mark Makers
Honestly they should make it a 2 year program with a year of paid internship or something along those lines. It is a good program and if combined with the opportunity to apply what you are learning as you are learning it would be a lot better. The fact that universities have people doing 100-...

re: How do y’all choose? - Mark Makers
As a new-ish parent with a 2 year old, take advantage of going to some farther away places while you can. Now that we have a little one, we definitely feel more limited on where we can go. Coming from someone who doesn't want to attempt to keep a mask on a 2 year old on a plane anyways...hopefully ...
