They are now known as 701 Bar and Restaurant. Their new website is under construction, but they have a facebook page with a menu. Thoughts?

I was just at Lucy's a couple weeks ago, kinda wish I knew it was gonna be the last time. Would have gotten one last shark attack for nostalgia. I suppose I could always mix sweettarts and vodka and accomplish the same thing though.

ETA: Seems to have only affected the New Orleans location, so I'm adding that to the title.

Considered going last night I guess it wouldn't have been open.

Well, it was weird to me that it was considered one of the most popular places in NOLA.

Food sucked for sure.

I think it's safe to say most people weren't there for the food

That is the worst strip of bars in town.

I've been to Lucy's more times than I care to admit and have probably eaten once

Looks to be same place, new name. Their FB says they're still doing taco tuesdays and whatnot...?

I was going to say this. I don't know what happened but it sounded really ugly and appears the family in question got royally screwed. 20 something year old daughters being told to stay out of the premises etc. People I know who worked there swear they won't step foot in it. I hope the new venture fails.

Oh wow.

If we're being honest, there was a time a few years ago when I could be found in there.

The good people who started it were somehow pushed out of the business and I remember there being a court battle over it. Probably has something to do with the name change.
