Middle of the desert, likely quite far from civilization, no water, no hat, probably not properly hydrated to begin with...dude is dead if left out there with no ride.

the entire season was filled with foreshadowing that the Mexicans were out to get Frank. It was a surprise, but it wasn't hard to follow how all of this ended up.

You're missing the biggest point when it comes to Frank/the Mexicans. Hubris got Frank killed. From the day they walked into the club and Frank was a complete dick about their prior arrangement, Frank's destiny was set. I thought it was a brilliant way for him to go.

I agree 100% the Mexicans brought him there for his death. We disagree here because the Mexican guy said the $1mil "bought him something" (but not a ride to the city), and they get in their car. I agree Frank didn't want to be punked down like that and feel disrespected by a nobody, but they were definitely getting in the car to leave. Then once he hit the guy they took him out. I will forever think the million dollars got Frank to at least be alive for a little longer to get back to the city.

Now, where from there would he go? How much money would he have? Allies? etc etc, who knows...maybe he did just feel like going down swinging there, but lots of that is pure speculation.

Exactly. Add to it that all of Frank's friends (Jordan, Nails, and presumably Ray and Ani are out of the country) or dead, plus he no longer had his passport/fake passport and no means to get a new one so he can get to Venezuela. The simple fact is he's out of money and out of leverage. There's no way he can exact his revenge if he get back to town after walking through the desert in his underwear.

People overreact when they can't get closure to all of their questions.

not really.

It's safe to say he'd have died in the desert. Also safe to say Frank had people out for him. Without the suit or the million, he has no way of getting out of the country. He's a dead man regardless.

Everybody who acts like they have definite answers are full of shite. No one knows because Pizz did not do a good job of establishing certain characters or what their roles were. The Mexicans literally just showed up at the most random times, and it turns out they have one of the biggest impact on the show.

Here is one thing that gets me.... Ray told ani to stay with the sister until he gets back and they can go to a police station so she can confess. The sister was their ticket to freedom, and would have been able to implicate everyone in the Vinci hierarchy.

Why the frick did ani just decide to drop her at a train station and give up on that one chance they had at clearing their names??

Yeh that made absolutely no sense. It was like there were two seperate scripts and they forgot to edit that scene out. I mean Ray says stay with her and dont leave, and the very next seen is Mcadams shipping her off on a train

I'm pretty sure it was a bus.

Also, I've mentioned before that this finale had similarities with "Heat" and "True Romance."

I'm also going to add "Carlito's Way."

Frank = Carlito

The Mexicans = Benny Blanco from the Bronx

so you think him asking "a million dollars doesn't buy me a ride?" is what made them decide to frick with him more?

I don't get your point

You're saying the Mexicans planned it all the way down to knowing Frank would make an offer, they'd pretend to accept the offer and walk back to their cars, then the one guy would pretend he wanted Frank's suit?

The main dude in charge was getting back into the truck until the random dude in the flannel stopped him to ask for the suit.

That's pretty farfetched IMO.

I don't think the money changed any of their plans.

there were 3 possibilities

1) they just leave him
2) they leave him wounded
3) they just kill him and bury him

I think either #1 or #2 were the plan

It seemed to me like Pizz started writing this crazy convoluted story of corruption and back dealing within the city government then got to the end and couldn't figure out a way to make it all work, so they just decided to kill everyone. It was a crappy ending to a crappy season.

Why would they dig a grave if #1 was ever in their original plans?

Again, I just don't get why they'd all walk back to their cars. What if the flannel shirt dude didn't want the suit? Why would any of them walk all the way back to their cars, to then walk all the way back to Frank to shoot him?
