Not at all, I took it as they were moving on and living their new lives......Franks wife got "a baby" to take care of, and McAdams had loss faith in the system.
The final scene with the evidence was their closure.

If he would read his own press clippings he would have known that what people loved about season 1 was MM's acting and the directing, not his shitty writing that fell off a cliff the last 3 episodes.
Although he did probably take note that people wanted resolutions and answers, and we definitely got them in season 2.

So Tony killed his dad and took over seat as Mayor. In the mean time Tony tailed Frank to steal his money and ultimately kill him. Frank dies with the diamonds still in his pocket, so somebody 1 day will get quite the surprise.
and yes, the whole scene with Ray in the woods was kind of ridiculous to me. Dude had a huge head start and could have probably gotten away if he wanted to, or AT THE VERY LEAST, hide for a few more minutes until he message went through. I legit laughed on my couch when they showed that the message failed to upload. What a cheesedick thing to throw in there IMO

I've only read the first 5 pages so haven't seen the rest of the thread...but am I the only one that is still confused as frick?
Granted I only gave the series about 90% of my attention instead of 100%, but good hell I feel like I only know like 5 people's names on the show. I feel like I only have a fairly loose understanding of exactly what happened and who was involved.

Ray got the jump on 2 of those guys in the woods and then later just decides to run out from behind a tree and get slaughtered
He could have given himself a better chance by just doing what he was doing

I know he was a wanted man, but going to the most rural area possible to have a shoot out was dumb
Not to mention his charger should have been able to outrun them on an open road, at least long enough to ditch his car and hide better
