A little over .500 SEC Coach. With 2 natties. A whole lot of boom and bust with Coach J. The next task will be to bring a team to Omaha in back to back years. He has yet do that at Arizona and obviously not at LSU. I think he will but it just goes to show how tough the SEC is.

It’s wild that people on this board don’t think the other sec teams have money and elite talent. This league is incredibly tough. To win 2 of 3 WS is almost statistically impossible in this age.

What wild is there is a possibility even with the past overall success that Jay could have a losing sec record overall after next season is done. Maybe his young guys and/or returning players will grow into a solid team next year. Last night showed some of that but it also showed lots of not so much of that.

LSU and Ms State with their programs in the late 80s and 90s compelled SEC programs to invest in baseball…

I was watching Florida and aTm last night. It was a fight but Florida was handing aTm that arse. It was refreshing to see some "fight" in a baseball game. Lots of talent on the field for that game.

Heavens to betsy! That's worse than Bertman, Maineiri, even *gasp* Smoke! Now what?

Look at the conference record of other SEC head coaches Jay ranks towards the bottom.

Probably making the cheapest possible upgrades to Alex Box Stadium thus coming full circle.

We don’t deserve a good coach or good players with how quickly the fan base turns against them

He may well be at 500 or under if the season keeps going the way it is with the losses in the SEC .

God dang man nobody is screaming to fire the coach. But he’s ultimately responsible for this clown show retard fest that is the 2026 LSU baseball team.
He put this roster together. He hired the coaches. He makes the big bucks. He should feel the heat on it.

Now do his record in Omaha

Vanhorn has around a 650 winning percentage at Arkansas and can’t win the big one. I’ll take Jay and his two Nattys!

What is his record when you add in the SECT and post season games against SEC teams? Omaha is like a 6-1 record. Not sure on the SECT.
Posted on 4/25/26 at 1:27 pm to VeryReauxna_ish
Context of other sec coaches records during that timeframe would help

And one of Johnson’s titles came in a year that Corbins team had the number one seed.
