Jay Johnson is one of 2 coaches with multiple national titles. If he is mediocre then there isnt an elite coach in all of college baseball.
Exactly. These retards think there are tons of coaches with immaculate consistency. Jay is top 3 in the game and possibly better. It’s rare that just about every transfer didn’t pan out. This year it happened.

Look back to that super regional series against Arkansas Little Rock! He doesn’t pull that out and the heat on his seat would be 1000 degrees right now!
He’s not Paul, dumbass.
And it was in the Regional, casual.

There are 3 current SEC coaches who have won a national championship - let's examine that percentage.
Corbin: 2 in 23 years (8.6%)
Sully: 1 in 17 years (5.8%)
Bianco: 1 in 25 years (4.0%)
Everyone's Favorite Van Horn: 0 in 23 years
Johnson: 2 in 4 years (50%)
The people on here bitching need to wipe their vag off and stop letting lsu baseball dictate their sense of self worth. JJ just went on a 3 year run not seen at lsu in 3 decades. There are 2 college baseball coaches with multile national titles, and Jay Johnson is one of them.

On top of that in an era of college baseball where it’s even harder to do

If we look back at last year, every big portal acquisition was a hit, with four of them being high level to elite starters in Eyanson, Dickinson, Hernandez and Stanfield. That’s also hard to expect every year.

If this is correct it’s interesting and I would love to see the other coaches recs because we have been winning alot of games under JJ.

I’m not comparing him to anyone dip shite! The statement is true. He didn’t earn his pay check this year and If …IF …his team had lost to Arkansas his seat would be scorching hot! I’m sorry your emotions can’t handle the truth

Yeah, it would be nice to be towards the top of the SEC year in and year out while winning NCs too.
Which program does that?
Please let us know. I’ll wait

But they didn’t so what’s the point? Every team, coach, player that’s won had close calls along the way, that tends to happen when you are playing other really good teams

Sounds like you are upset he won last year

Maineri has a natty . Who would you take VanHorn or Manier?

You're going to have ups and downs in the current state of college sports
Gone are the days of developing talent and reloading every year with underclassmen

Jay lol he’s outcoached Vanhorn on the biggest stage and he has 2.
Posted on 4/25/26 at 5:38 pm to lsutiger2011
Bruh! You can’t make a post on here that doesn’t portray Jay as the best baseball coach since Skip Bertman! Jay’s sycophants will come a running to tell you he won 2 NCs in 3 years! All jokes aside he IS a great coach, the best since Skip but he screwed up big time this year! I’m confident he will recover next year!

That’s fricking ridiculous
You seem to be the one completely wrapped up in their feelings here, tossing out any logic and proposing ridiculous hypotheticals because you can’t handle one bad season.
