We do not do that.
However, I can understand that there may be cases where someone has to get to work, someone has to get home to take care of a sick family member, someone has to get home to relieve a sitter for an elderly parent as a few examples.
I find it hysterical that one of our ushers routinely walks straight out the door right after communion.

Not a fan. You've sat through the entire mass and you're going to slip out before the final blessing? "Couldn't you men keep watch with me for one hour?"
A few times I've had to go stand outside the front doors because my toddler is usually reaching his limit of sitting quietly by then. But I wouldn't hit the exits for no reason.

It’s a bad look but I’ve also been guilty of it on several occasions. Sometimes there are things going on and we are trying to get to all in

Why would I be going to my inlaws??? They can come to my house. They had their time and now we have a family so they can make the trek
