New Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding spoke with ESPN's Greg McElroy and detailed the whirlwind transition from being defensive coordinator to head coach once Lane Kiffin quickly took the LSU job after the Egg Bowl.

I don’t really see what the problem is at all with what he said. Nothing derogatory about LSU or Kiffin himself. Kiffin posts positively on the hire. Where’s the issue with this?

Most people just want to believe "drama" all the fricking time and can't see how this was completely a business move. Everybody benefited except Ole Miss. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Lane obviously sees LSU as a better opportunity -- there's a surprise lol, Golding gets a shot and this will be great on his resume too. Ole Miss gets to play as LSU like they did when Bama got Saban. Everybody wins in the end.

Saban was also key in persuading LK to take LSU job. Says it all.
