Both are fairly similar in atmosphere, menu and whatnot. Which do you prefer?

Diner, but I don’t think that they’re all that similar, particularly in terms of menu. Diners usually have a much more expansive menu.

Diner for breakfast
Deli for lunch

I don't think they are all that similar.

Probably not mant baws on this site have enough Jewish Deli options to properly answer this. I personally live in a Jewish Deli desert...

The only standout, for me, in a Jewish deli is the pastrami sandwich. In a real diner the selection offers many more choices.

Deli, because we don’t have them around here. I can get diner food any time.

This sounds like a yankee's dilemma.

But, the bottom picture looks better.

Had a jewish roommate for a while when I lived in Dallas. Got to try some jewish deli's, no idea how authentic. Some was good and some was odd to me. Would go back anytime for the sandwiches.

I prefer a Jewish deli, but that might just be because I rarely have access to one. There are no legit Jewish delis in the greater Baton Rouge area to my knowledge.

Diners are awesome, but I might be taking them for granted because they’re readily available.

Right now I would choose a Jewish Deli because they are rare where I live. Plenty of diners. If I had equal access... I would probably go to a diner a little more often.

Diners have Waffles. Jewish Delis do not. Easy answer.
