Isn’t Sean the one that couldn’t handle the head from Dricus?

Dana knows what controversy is good for the fight business. Some people will tune in to to see him win and see what he will say after the fight. While people that don't like what he says can tune in to see him get knocked out.

Floyd Mayweather earned nearly $1 Billion over his career with this strategy.

The entire thing was obviously rehearsed/coordinated to stir up interest for the match. You think he just went off on a random tangent in a press conference the week of the fight that so happened to end with him offending every single non-white/conservative demo that exists? There will be a lot of people now tuning in that didn't even know the fight was scheduled simply hoping to watch him get his arse kicked

It's not nearly that contrived. Sean Strickland has opinions on things and zero filter. Ask him a baited and/or biased question and you'll get a soundbite out of it. Lefties will cry "the horror!" and most everyone else will chuckle a little bit. The perpetually offended aren't going to get anywhere trying to pressure Dana into censuring someone so their precious feelings don't get hurt.

Dana: I don’t tell any human what to say. Just don’t talk about fighters’ pay.

Look at the words behind Dana in that video. These arent his comments after Sean's recent comments. Not that they would be different, but thats just not factual.

ironic considering Dana has blackballed journalists for asking legitimate business questions and not softball questions at press conferences

He is easily the BEST OPERATOR IN SPORTS. PERIOD.

Name a better sports league commissioner.

But, but, but, he is rude and he doesn't answer the questions that we want him to answer. He won't gag the talent that offends us.

WHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

No shite. Quick question -
Does ultra douchebag Roger Goddell answer questions about the shite officiating that has been habitually garbage for over 20 years?

No..... Roger won't address a real problem in his sport that is a direct reflection of the competitive integrity of his sport.

....and you want to whine about some MMA writer that Dana White snubs and won't answer his questions?

If Dana thinks the officiating sucks or the judges got it wrong, he does not hesitate. When a guy gives a shite effort. Dana slams these guys. No one does it better.

He's right.

Everyone knows if you ask Strickland questions you will get crazy.

Was this pre or post-fight comments? Haven't been following. What was asked/answered?

I liked this quote he said about some other insane rant Strickland went on in the past

quote:

Sean Strickland said a lot of things. I don’t agree with 95% of what this guy says, but it’s his right to say it. And if you don’t like it, tune in on Saturday night. He’s going to be getting punched in the face.

That's an old clip but Dana is right. MMA journalists are some of the biggest baby backs in the business. Just go back and see what the majority of those losers were saying when Covid was going on. They are total pussies and frauds

the only one I remember being banned was ariel helwani but it was because he broke news of brock lesnar coming back for ufc300 a few hours before the ufc was about to announce with a special clip they had put together during a ppv.

Must be so liberating as a league’s executive to say “I don’t give a shite what my athletes say.”

Also, for people saying this was contrived… I don’t think so. This was just Sean Strickland being Sean Strickland.
