When did it dawn on you that Indiana was like legit legit?

And not just an imposter like I thought last year? For me it was that Beatdown at Illinois this year where I think I was like damn….i mean i know Illinois is Illinois but at the time they were ranked and it was something like 58-7 or something like that

They were legit last year, a true top 12 team. People on here just suck off the SEC 24-7 and think some mid Bama squad will crush anybody.

When their WRs were making acrobatic catches vs Penn State and making it look easy. I know that game was close but was thinking holy shite Indiana has some ballers on their team and that QB is legit. Still expected them to get worked by Bama in the playoffs but nope.

Their regular season slate was genuine trash. They romped as good teams should, but if we're being honest and remembering correctly I don't think "legit legit" was a consensus view until Ohio State

2019 was a really loaded year. LSU, Clemson, OSU, Bama, Georgia, Florida and Auburn were all elite.

Beating Oregon made me think they were legit. But it wasn’t until they beat Ohio State that I thought they were legit legit.

When they beat Oregon, I knew they were a legit top 10 team, and better than last year's squad.
When they beat Ohio State, I first believed they had what it took to win the national championship.

Pretty much the same. I still expected Bama or Miami to beat them even though Indiana was clearly better than both because I figured the sports gods would come up with some contrived way to keep us from having nice things.

It's brand name bias. If Kentucky had a similar miraculous rise as Indiana, people would still expect a mid Ohio State squad to crush them in the Sugar Bowl.
