Why does it seem like the vast majority of protests are always in the north?

I’m genuinely asking this without any ill intentions. Watching the protests with the new mayor and the nurses, I can’t help but notice that they seem to happen more often in northern states. I assume population might be a factor, but it’s not like there aren’t big cities down south too. I have my own opinions, but I’m curious to hear what others think. Have a good day.

They are financed, led, and staffed by "educated" white liberals.

They can get away with protesting in those states. Try that down south, and they’ll get run over and locked up.

Because southern states by and large went through the ugliness of the 60’s. We have a pretty good grasp that providing images of stupidity or images in general last forever. We all get along for the most part because there is no real desire to subject ourselves to that type of open hostility towards others..

We have seasons. Hunting, crawfish, Mardi Gras, baseball, football, hurricane, fishing, to keep us occupied. We have lots to do. They don’t. Plus there are more democrats and racists up north. We get along better too.

There were a couple of hundred people at City Hall in Orlando yesterday around 1 PM when I went to the Broadway show but they were all gone by three

I’m not in favor of any of this protesting, but I ask about it because it’s always the same people, with no idea why they’re even protesting, who tend to be the obvious fools that respond with nonsense. It helps to filter out the Harris fans.

Obvious exceptions would be the Atlanta riots/looting during the dark years of COVID and St Floyd. And Ferguson (St Louis is Southern-ish). But that was all short lived and limited.
