If I'm betting, No.

They're still a few key pieces away from really competing for the division.

Could it happen,

yes I think they could improve enough in a weak division to push for the division title and a playoff spot. Possible but very unlikely.

There’s a good chance the Saints finish 4-2 in the division this year.

Shough with a year of experience and a healthy roster as is (Neal, Vele) can win the division right now

And that's more an indictment on the status of the division than saying the Saints are good

They're certainly several pieces away from a deep playoff run... but winning the NFC South is already attainable

I would rather have one more rebuild year.

I really want Jeremiah Smith at wr with Shough.

And have the best in-division record this season

We beat ATL & TB beats CAR in week 18... we'll be 4-2, TB & CAR 3-3, ATL 2-4

If we beat Atlanta, Shough would be 4-1 in the division with a sweep of the division champion Panthers. Doing it with third string players too.

They may finish a game out of 1st with a winning divisional record THIS year.

We obviously need more pieces and to address holes but people also don’t ever consider that sometimes a change in expectations and franchise momentum elevates existing players and ultimately addresses some perceived roster issues.

One more draft as good as this past one and I think there’s a really good chance they win the division

We should definitely compete for the division next year. A lot will depend on smart longterm vision moves in FA……and another good draft.

are we still in the NFC South next year? If so, the answer is yes, we should always make the playoffs.

If we get 4th place schedule and DD stays than yes

I hope we lose to Atlanta in Week 18 if beating them means 3rd place schedule
