Already watched it with the wife. Found it pretty ridiculous. For the movie to be about a mom who is unappreciated. They sure did a great job making the mom as unlikeable as possible.

Too late. Got roped into it blindly. About 3 minutes in I realized, oh frick this is going to be bad AND reinforce my wife’s perception that the whole household depends solely on her for sustainability.
Nevermind that she almost never cooks, rarely cleans anything, and mostly just barks orders at the kids and I to do shite for her.

I thought the movie was chuckle-worthy, but this is where their Home Alone ripoff failed. You can’t forget an adult. She let her own unhealthy obsession with her neighbor pull her away from her own family scrambling to get to this event that she organized. No one to blame but herself.
