Frick it, I do. Yeah he didn’t come around until the 30’s and his name is still trademarked. But he led the reindeer through a foggy night and fricking saved Christmas.
“Oh well he’s not really part of the old lore” Brother that’s because he’s the youngest reindeer.

As for me and my house, we recognize Rudolph and my children will believe he is real.

On a related note, Santa was a jerk in the Rankin and Bass Rudolph show.

The story just ain't true.

Some weird newby wearing a nose ring that glows and becomes the main most leader of the reindeer team?

"Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee (yipee)
“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You’ll go down in history”

I'm just not buying the part about how the other reindeer loved him.

Rudolph should have told Santa to frick off. He’s ok with letting the reindeer make fun of Rudolph’s deformity until it becomes useful for them.

Yes, I do

Because I’ve read the fricking book to my son every night for the last 4 weeks and watched the cartoon last night

At this point no other reindeer exists

Not exactly. The misfits were accepted back in Christmas Town before it was announced that Christmas was cancelled. Santa apologized to Rudolph before he realized Rudolph’s nose could save Christmas. Yes, they were harsh initially, but they softened, even the a-hole head elf.

EDIT: Had this board always auto corrected a-hole to a-hole, or is this new?

Yes, just as I accept Brees & Burrow as true Louisianans.

Side note that I was at least two years into singing the song before knowing there were add on lyrics.

I'm more interested in whether Santa should have cut Blitzen. I understand historical success, but it's a new game. A tough straightforward player is always needed, but narrowmindedness will get beat by new techniques and science-based analysis.

Until the league does something about performance enhancing supplements or weather analytics trends away, you'll need Rudolphs to win. It's a complement to traditional reindeer recruiting, not replacement.

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen...

But they were all of them deceived, for another reindeer was made.

Well, the Old Lore is essentially just "Twas the Night before Christmas."

They didn't have names before that poem.

The rest is just kinda fan fic

one deer to rule them all,
One nose to shine them,
One schnoz to pierce the fog,
And in the darkness, guide them.
