I wish I understood all of the negativity towards Brad Davis

I have been reading a lot of comments on posts and even through social media pretty much dogging Brad Davis. I just don’t get it..he’s been one of my favorite coaches. He’s so beloved by the team and such an awesome recruiter. We had FOUR OFFENSIVE linemen drafted last year. I remember the social media posts coming out from LSU Football were like “Developed By Brad” with the OL’s Pic who was drafted attached to it. It seemed like everyone was so high on him last year. He’s been on the staff for over 6 years and was hired by Orgeron. He was even the interim head coach before Kelly, so he’s obviously highly regarded. I know he has a deep personal relationship with Lamar Brown. We had all Freshmen on the Oline, and our starting LT was injured after the first few games. Is it really all Brad Davis’ fault on how the OLine played this season? I think he is a REALLY good OL coach and LSU will miss him. We had had good OLine play before this year, and I feel like people are now just shooting first without thinking it all through.

Doesn't seem like a good developer or technique coach.

Maybe Brad can go back and coach Belaire

Brad less time on TD more time coaching and you would still have a job

This guy had every chance to show that he was a capable assistant. We have a multi-year body of work to look at, and the results are atrocious. What more do you need to see?

Last in rushing offense in the SEC tge last 2 years along with getting the QB killed. Pretty fricking simple.
Your statement about having OL drafted makes it worse. Saw Miles Frazier start for the Lions last night and look good yet Davis couldn’t get that unit out its own way. He is terrible and it’s not even debatable.

You actually think Campbell and Jones were “developed”.? They came in as good as they left.. He didn’t do shite to advance those guys.

In my post history I have objective data that Brad Davis is directly responsible for teams being less efficient at running the football every stop he's been at.

we had 4 draft picks last year and couldn’t run the ball.
and we just sucked in every aspect of the OL play this year.

He's a great recruiter but our OL have not been developed at all and are super soft.
Will Campbell and Emory Jones started from day 1 and didn't really get a ton better other than what comes from experience. Their technique stayed the same.

Thanks Brad. You’ve been mailing it in for a while now. And it’s showing. You need a new gig. Nothing personal.

No. The only sustained running we did was with JD since Davis got here
