Stadium Size Matters.

No school with a stadium capacity under 75k has won a national championship in the last 25 years.
Miami in their Orange Bowl era with a capacity of 72 k won in 2001.
Washington in 1991 with a stadium capacity of 70k.
Ga Tech in 1990 with a capacity of 55k.
BYU in 1984 had a capacity of 63k.
Not saying it the only factor but is has to be considered as a factor. It's an indicator of resources available to compete, and in the age of NIL resources are everything.
Vaught Hemingway capacity is 64 k even though they reached an all time record of 68k against Florida this year.

Stadium size is for the most part an indication of resources.
Obviously you have to eliminate guys like Vandy who have basically unlimited money but high high standards.

Size has always mattered regardless of what ppl say

Resources as well as fan base commitment.
A lot of these schools have the resources to build a 100k seat stadium but it would never be full. Ole miss can’t fill a high school size stadium on a week to week basis.

I have a feeling that record will fall next year.

Well, we can only fill ours to capacity maybe once or twice per year against a huge opponent. Hopefully all that will change and now going forward, but Tiger Stadium really can’t brag about packing a stadium.

Depends on what you mean by “fill”. If you mean actual people in the seats you may be right. If you mean tickets sold you’re wrong.
And the metric that matters most to the Athletic Department is the latter.

Show me where Oregon has won a National Championship.

How you use your stadium also matters.

he wasn't saying Oregon has won a title.
He's saying Oregon has resources, despite having a s mall stadium.

Ga Tech split the title with Colorado, their stadium held a little over 51,000

I’m telling you, it’s a night a day difference between Death Valley and VHS. Idk why it’s so hard to win in Oxford, crowd noise is a non factor.

Upvote. Plus the tailgating scene is so much better at LSU hands down. The grove is just rednecks who think they have money. Chicken tenders is their idea of tailgate food.

Want to piss off om fans? Tell them VH is an adorable stadium. So quaint.

I went to VH for this year’s Tiger Reb game. Man was i so unimpressed. I told my wife i felt a college baseball vibe at best. Maybe im a hater but its easy for me to know that Tiger Stadium is far superior to most, especially that little place.

Indiana is sub 53k and Cignetti was deemed untouchable and IU is a dream job.
