We have an offensive coach now who is actually good at evaluating talent.
Hankton has been a bad recruiter and an even worse talent evaluator.

in the coaching circles, LSU is viewed right there with OSU and Texas. Recruiting and resources are ELITE.
This is, arguably the best job in the country.
People love to start the dumb shite of Lanes going to bolt for Alabama... Alabama isn't a better job. Its on the same level as LSU, its just benefitted from the greatest coaches of all time. When Alabama doesn't have all time great coaches, they aren't so great...
Lane wouldn't leave LSU for Alabama, unless he was in a bind. It is a lateral move, at best.
