Purchased the lot next to my house and want to get it up to speed with my immaculately monocultured bermuda lawn. I'm already into it about 15' from my property line with a strong stand of bermuda to keep the weeds away from my yard. Can start any time. I've never put any chemicals onto this lot because it wasn't mine and i didn't want to waste my money on something not mine. Would it be as simple as hitting it with MSMA and killing everything else but burmuda and letting the natural bermuda take over? It's probably 50% centipede, 10% bermuda, and the rest is just weeds.

Spray now? Spray after winter? other?

I will be putting down pre-emerg when i spray my spring cycle on my yard in feb/march.
just remember, we build counter measures to stop what other countries pretend they have...

A surveyor is Absolutly who you need to contact. That’s what they do. Not some dumbass realtor.

so when people abuse drugs, negative things happen... shocking!

Successful people

I literally just admitted I have not been successful at this. So you’d prefer me to continue to not be successful?
Here’s my take on the situation and people that are so vocally anti like in this thread. Outside of this discussion, I assume we can all agree that not everyone is the same and that there are differences between people. People have different levels of everything. Some are naturally caused, some are exacerbated by lifestyle. But in general, we’re all different.

I’ve battled my weight my whole life. I love to eat, food is delicious especially in Louisiana. I’m pretty active in general, always have been. I could absolutely just eat less and move around more and battle my way through it and lose weight. Would it last? Maybe. It hasn’t in the past. So why not try something that might bring my levels in balance to a more “normal” state? Wouldn’t it be easier stuck with something that isn’t a battle every day? Who wants a grind every day in everything?

And of course you could just say don’t eat as much, you fat frick. Hey, totally agree. But I would submit that if you haven’t had to battle with weight then you don’t know what it’s like. Just like I could say someone that is addicted to nicotine or drugs, just stop doing it. But clearly they can’t. So I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe I don’t understand their situation but just want to be happy they’re dealing with it however they can.

So what’s better? “Just don’t eat more” and nothing changes or cheat and actually change for the positive.

Y’all can come at me all y’all want, I feel great, eat better and less, exercise daily, and am in an infinitely better spot now than I was before I started.
I’m on it and doing great!

Suck it, h8rz!

Probably. I'm 5-11 but a big wide shoulder baw even when i'm not pushing 3 bills... All my extra weight us up top. 220 was my lightest since high school and that's when i was running over 40 miles per week training. It would be a comfortable goal. Less than that and i'd start to look sickly.

Bumping this….

My post above was in May 2024. Started tirz in Sept 2024. I was 291.

Today I broke the 220 barrier. I lift heavy 4-5x per week, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been including in high school. I’m feeling great! I’m seeing muscles I’ve never seen before. This train ain’t stopping!
