I would be fine with Sumrall.
I'm not looking to pivot from Kiffin just to satisfy my impatience on a week delay.

Didn’t he have like 5 losses last season? I am genuinely asking. Must be nice to face a 1 win team last game of the season as well.

He is light years better than drink and 1/2 the price of lane. Or we can pay another $100 million to BK

My goodness, we have people melting at lunchtime on a Sunday because lane hasn't had a press conference at LSU

I get that it’s Tulane, but his showing against Ole Miss was embarrassing to say the least.

He’s a very good coach.
Should be toward the top of the list for plan Bs

Yes he’s benefitted from easy schedules obviously in the SBC and AAC but even in his first year at both schools he brought them to the conference championship games. 4/4 so far is a decent track record.
He’ll be a decent hire wherever he goes, whether it be Auburn or Ole Miss
ETA he was an assistant at Troy and Tulane before becoming an assistant at Ole Miss. would be a logical next step for him to go to Ole Miss if Kiffin ends up in BR

Saban's record at Michigan State:
1995 - 6-5-1
1996 - 6-6
1997 - 7-5
1998 - 6-6
1999 - 9-2
Obviously a flash-in-the-pan with that 1999 record. Hadn't proved he could win consistently. Not worthy of coaching a big SEC program.
The point is, you can't look solely at a coach's won/loss record when evaluating his qualifications for a big-time job like LSU.

Objectively less experienced and qualified than Billy Napier was in 2021 and if he was the HC of Tulsa nobody on here would have known he existed three weeks ago.
But he's a career position coach who looks like a travel ball or high school coach and sounds "fiery" and "driven" and "would bring back toughness" and is 18-7 at Tulane so let's put him in charge of a Top 5 program in the country in the most competitive conference in college sports

No.
We have our guy.
Sumrall will not be the coach at LSU.

Not my first or even second choice but I wouldn’t hate it

Hello, Mrs Sumrall. Nice to have you on the forum.

Hopefully he is plan B for LSU
Instead of $14 mil to Kiffin pay Sumrall $5 mil then give the rest to players

He would be my #3 behind Lane and Dilly.
I would absolutely hire Sumrall before Drink.
