Dick Cheney Died on 11/3. His Funeral is Scheduled For 11/20....

Its crazy I didnt even remember that he died.

When I first read your post I was like "holy cow" and then I was like "oh yeah I vaguely remember that".

We had a 3 day run when he died. There will be another 3 day run when the bury the fella. Spreading it out jogs the memory to make him look far more important than he really was.

Because 11/20 is also my birthday and they wanted me to have a warm smile all day.

He is laying in state at Halliburton headquarters for 14 days.

I would assume arranging a funeral for a former head of state takes some logistical planning and having the government closed for a few days would hurt planning. As you have multiple services in two locations the capital and in his resting place.
