This is an enormous loss for New Orleans and Canal Street. 1898 it was founded. Adler family decided it was time to retire.

I got a flyer. It’s true.

They lost being a Rolex AD and I think Cartier too. That’s a big hit.

The slow monopolizing of everything internationally. Can't have mom and pops thrive.

Certain family members who didn't want to run the business but wanted to profit off the business being ran fricked it up for the ones that were actually trying to keep it afloat.

Patek is going boutique only model and Rolex following suit. Less and less AD will carry them

I’m not a watch guy. Is Rolex still as vaunted as a brand, or have other manufacturers matched them? Seems to me luxury watches are all beautiful time pieces and Rolex doesn’t have that cornered anymore.

They make really good watches, but so do other manufacturers. Rolex is great at marketing

Dang, I had no idea they lost Patek and Rolex. They never could pick up Rolex in baton rouge, and they lost breitling to Lee Michaels.

I wear a Grand Seiko and they were the only dealer in the area. I see there's a boutique in canal place now. I wonder if they lost grand Seiko too.

Rolex is gradually eliminating its authorized dealer network and moving to a company owned boutique business model. Some of the others are following suit, but more slowly.

Always make the family business a bank.

Every other business is iffy for the future.
