He's not big on recruiting, but that doesn't seem to be as big a deal as it once was.

Was Ohio St OC in 24, yeah college records were not good at UCLA but his Oregon days were good. Not sure how he would fit into the new landscape of college ball but his last year in college was 23. I just want an offensive minded guy just throwing his name out there

No joke. Because a northern a-hole named Kelly who was nearing the end of his prime 10 years ago and is notorious for being lazy and hating recruiting is definitely what we need right now

didn't do well at UCLA.
did well at OSU, and he left b/c the Raiders made him the highest paid OC in the league at $6M/yr.
I would love to hire a young up and coming defensive head coach and then have Chip Kelly as the OC and mentor, but i'm not sure you can pay him enough to come be an OC in college when he's making that much as a pro and doesn't have to recruit.
