George Carlin is rolling in his grave right now

So let me get this straight — y’all spent years screaming about “cancel culture” and “free speech” whenever someone on the right got criticized. But now you’re throwing a party because Jimmy Kimmel’s show got pulled?
George Carlin made a career out of shredding politicians, exposing hypocrisy, and pushing uncomfortable truths. He didn’t care if it was Democrats, Republicans, or anyone else in power — he wanted all of them called out.
If you think silencing Kimmel for criticizing Trump (or pointing out MAGA hypocrisy) is some kind of win, you’re not defending free speech — you’re just proving Carlin’s point that Americans love censorship when it serves their own side.
Carlin would torch this double standard.
Rolling. In. His. Grave.

Tell us you don’t know what cancel culture is without telling us

Is it time to retire the word snowflake? Both sides are the same so no need to use it

Kimmel was fired for blatantly lying about the guy who murdered Charlie Kirk.

I mean if the Left is going to label Kirk as an "extremist", assassinate him, and then openly celebrate it, don't be surprised when real extremists and real authoritarians fill the gap.
That's how it usually happens.

Well George Carlin got to live until the age of 71 and died of natural causes. He wasn’t murdered on stage by someone who disagreed with his politics.

Where was your outrage when Rosanne was taken off the air by ABC?
Posted on 9/17/25 at 10:12 pm to Kait Is Not Great
It's amazing how many little bitches are crying because Kimmel got knocked off his bully pulpit.

I don't think you're going to understand this, but
silencing someone just because they have a different opinion = cancel culture
someone getting fired for saying vile things and/or being a psycho and/or damaging your company = a consequence

A private company choosing to pull a show off of its network isn’t an infringement on free speech. Kimmel made foolish comments and false claims which resulted in backlash and prompted ABC to pull him off air. That’s Kimmel’s fault. The government didn’t remove him, his employer did. I think it’s perfectly fine to agree with an employer’s decision to remove their employee from the employer’s network.

People like to think that Carlin would be libertarian about today's standard, but they are fooling themselves to think he'd be anything different than Colbert, Kimmel, and Meyers.
He would be the exact same slave to the left.

Cancel culture would be trying to get Kimmel fired for stuff he did 15-20 years ago. Like that time he did a skit wearing blackface as Karl Malone.
Getting shitcanned for saying controversial stuff in the present day isn’t the same as cancel culture.
