Your office ban cell phones? I've never worked anywhere that did but it might be needed.

Any time i walk around the office, to the break room, to the bathroom, going to a meeting, actually IN a meeting...the majority of people in the office are on their phones. And it's not for work...they are shopping, texting, on social media.

Nah, if you ban cell phones everyone would find a way to do what they want.

This one’s tricky for me. Generally, i think adults need to act like it and if you’re phone is a distraction, you need to get that sorted before you get fired. Also, many employers allow (force) employees to have productivity apps on their phones.

I’m leaning towards no. But I’d be OK with a no cellphone policy in meetings. Just comes off as rude.

I would laugh in the face of any employer who told me I couldn’t carry my phone while at work

I’d be fine banning them in the break room or requiring head phones so I don’t have to eat and listen to peoples’ TikTok, movies, etc.
