This will be a long post. I am not knowledgeable on health topics. I'm genuinely curious so please help me understand.
Dealing with mental health and Dementia or Alzheimers, I understand that those are diseases that can be diagnosed. In those diseases we find that people forget who they are and start to lose a sense of reality due to their brain being damaged by the disease.
My question is this...why are we able to call those mental diseases, but we cannot say that gender identity crisis is not a disease?
If 99 percent of the population can look at you and tell what you are, then you should be able to do the same. If your brain is not allowing you to accept reality, how is that not a mental disease?

It’s scary that a normal man can inject estrogen and go so crazy
Really makes you wonder about the people that are born with bodies that make it naturally

It took me less than 10 seconds to read the whole thing, but I’m not surprised this is considered long for you.
Stick to coloring books

The DSM is a political document now.
Leftists are insane.
Leftists have taken control.
That’s the story.

This wouldn't even qualify as a footnote for Awgustadawg.

Because one is not like the others. It was manufactured and nourished and cultivated to exist.
The others are genetically unavoidable... unless it's in our diet or vaxes or whatever, but even still, not quite the same.
So, it's intended to exist, and it has been done by the psychological games they play on our youth. The power of victimhood, not belonging, and suggestion are VERY powerful to the susceptible. They target the susceptible, and protect them and nuture the destabilization of our country.
And it works.
So... why? Because the powers that can pull these things off won't allow the classification you were talking about.

Transgender people should be in an asylum.

The communists who push all this propoganda are laughing at us. They’ve infected an entire generation of people who believe all this trans crap. They have us hating and killing each other.

Do you support federal funding of long term mental health facilities?

While the language has been softened, Gender Dysphoria is still a mental disorder in DSM-5-TR (2022).

I saw you mention this in the Minneapolis Shooter thread and meant to reply, but it’s an excellent point.

Gender dysphoria is still in the DSM V. However, the number of individuals who are genuinely gender dysphoric is a very minute of the trans population.
From the American Psychiatric Association:
From the American Psychiatric Association:
quote:
The American Psychiatric Association states that the prevalence of a formal diagnosis of gender dysphoria is less than 0.1% (i.e., fewer than 1 in 1,000 individuals) in both those assigned male at birth and those assigned female at birth. This estimate is based on populations seeking gender-affirming treatment and is likely an underestimate, as many adults with gender dysphoria do not seek care at specialty programs. Among adults who self-identify as transgender, the proportion who meet criteria for a diagnosis of gender dysphoria is not directly specified in the guideline. However, the guideline notes that self-identification as transgender is estimated at 0.5% to 0.6% of the general population, which is several times higher than the prevalence of diagnosed gender dysphoria. This suggests that a minority of transgender-identifying adults receive a formal diagnosis of gender dysphoria, as defined by the DSM criteria.

Well, I don't post like this often. I usually just reply to sports stuff. One or two sentences.

Don't sell yourself short, the OP was a big accomplishment for a Bama fan.
