I'm putting this on the Recruiting Board because Florida and Alabama 100% use Baton Rouge crime as a recruiting tool against us.

BR hood rats not in the top 10

The last time I remember Alabama doing that was when our starting QBs dad was a coach there.

I'm sure they still do, but it was widely publicized when he did it.

Im not buying Cedar City, UT being on this list and Baton Rouge not being on it. That's completely ridiculous.

I’m reminded of The Shield where politicians ranked the danger of local gangs and the cops referred to it as the “banger BCS”.

Yes and Washington DC isn't dangerous either. This is a pencil whipping if I ever saw one.

If there's one thing young brothas are worried about it's how much crime a city has.

Lol I don’t care what metrics they used…this list is not even close to accurately depicting the most dangerous college towns

they're using per capita, which is why lily white Ivy League towns like New Haven, CT and Ithaca, NY are on the list.

way more violence happens in Austin, Miami, Atlanta, LA, Chicago, Houston, (which are all college towns) etc.

Well BR isnt a college town, its a legit city and state capitol.

But if you wanted to dive in, the rate is around 600 incidents per 10,000

New Haven is less than 30% white. It's an absolute shithole.

i know a lot of people that say they are in NYC that actually live in New Haven and commute.

Most are VC and CEO level people. what am i missing that rich people live there and it's a shithole?

LOL..LSU definitely has its issues, but AL is not far behind and can't use the lack of crime angle... AL literally had a basketball player murder someone on the Strip basically on campus a year and a half ago... and the Strip gets shutdown every year for their "A Day" spring game due to criminal activity and unruly crowds.

People associate the city with Yale and more recently the pizza scene, which I guess make people assume it's full of Ivy League blue bloods and working class Italians. 30% of New Haven is black and 30% is Hispanic. Don't get me wrong, Yale is a gorgeous campus and Wooster Street has some great pizza spots, but most of the city isn't nice at all from my experience.

Alabama saved Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones from lives of crime in Forsythe Park in the heart of Monroe.
