Anyone ever have their future D1 prospect use Viktory insoles?

Viktory

My daughter swears she needs them for volleyball but I’m just curious if it’s all hype like I suspect it is.

Just looked them up based on your thread. They are stiff and reduce cushioning. That's all I need to know.

I am no podiatrist but I was issued and forced to wear stiff flat-soled non cushioned Danner boots for 20 years. I have massive foot issues now. I am in pain as I write this after my run this morning. I am 100% convinced this is due to those Danner's all those years. I was an idiot to not pad those things up with some high quality insoles.

These VKTRY things look like they take nice athletic shoes and turn them into Danner's. Would not recommend.

It's an insole. If she doesn't have a meaningful condition requiring specific support, she absolutely, unequivocally does not need them. If she thinks she needs insoles for a competitive edge, she may peak at varsity.

I'd be surprised if they're really any better than "over the counter" insoles if you don't like the ones that come with the shoes.

Sounds like you're gonna have to buy them regardless.

This is my instinct as well. Thanks for the comment!

I’m going to delay and count on her forgetting.
She’s dealing with a nagging back soreness so no need to compound variables

I was waiting for these to be posted. All that is missing is a picture of Boots Garland trying to sell them.

$149? Someone is a marketing genius if these things actually sell.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cheaper version for sports with more cushioning?

If you do not buy and she misses out on D1 athletic scholly, it is all your fault.

If she still earns D1 athletic scholly, it will be despite you.

Either way you lose.

Therefore, take the money and buy yourself bottle of Bourbon. Best way to lose!

I was duped by these circa 2005 and wasted a months worth of allowance/chore money.

When I was a little kid I wondered why they didn’t play in those shoes…

Honestly, $150 seems like pennies in what you are already paying if your daughter is actually a D1 prospect. This is not meant to be disrespectful at all either. I assume lessons, uniforms, travel, camp, etc. are all pretty pricey.
