Why are men being forced to attend all these showers now ?

I know another bahumbug yell at cloud post but whatever
And gender reveal parties (which basically have become 2nd showers)
Why can’t women just have their own things and not feel the need to drag men around to their shite? When was the last time men were clamoring to bring women to poker night, deer camp, bowling league, fishing/golf trips, etc

For the ones I've been to, the men just hang out and drink beer while the women do the festivities. Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me

Are men being dragged to these events in handcuffs? I am a woman and I don't even go to showers. If the recipient is someone I care about, I will send a gift.
