College football sucks now.

ETA: go back to the BCS. Top 2 teams. One game. That era of college football was infinitely better and more enjoyable.

I'd gladly change schedules with OSU's annual schedule

If IU made it last year im not sure he’s wrong unless the rules or criteria change.

I’d schedule cupcakes, as healthy as possible and try to make the playoffs at 10-2 or 11-1 every year.

This why it needs to be formula based.

Some of us predicted this with expansion while the lesser thinkers promised us it would mean MORE of these games

Guaranteed playoff spots for a conference is really gay, the sport would be like NCAAB at that point, entirely centered around your postseason

I like the idea of the 4th and 5th team in the B1G playing in the conference title/play-in game. It would alleviate that issue.

You mean like Bama and Ole Miss did last year?

Funny how no one mentions Georgia last year. They played 2 P4 OOC games including a team that made the playoffs. They had brutal conference schedule playing the next 4 best teams in the SEC 3 on the road and then a 5 time in the SECCG. Good teams win even against tough schedules.

Bama played @UW and ended the season with a top 5 SOS in the country what does that schedule have in common with IU?

Next year Bama is @FSU and has UW at home.

The playoffs have largely sucked and their expansion means they’re competing with attention from the NFL in January.

Doesn’t make any sense to schedule a competent ooc opponent. That’s the reality of the expanded playoff.

I don’t think conferences should be guaranteed spots.

B1G is always predictable.

Dastardly manipulated the last playoff to insure they got the most teams in and got the most revenue from the home games.

Now they are trying to cry and whine to force Sankey to accept a shitty deal that would guarantee B1Gs future.

Heck no!

We (SEC) don't even need to be playing tough OOC games anyways. We need to schedule weak, keep top teams away from each other and load up the top 10s like the B1G does every season yet accuses us of doing

Can you Louisiana simpletons think past Bama??

This isn't about Alabama or even the SEC. It's about the greatest evil (Big 10) trying to force total power and control.

Indiana literally removed all P4 games well before these declarations.

This past season they showed their hand; they will reward B1G teams for playing weak schedules and they will schedule their teams in a way where they don't play the hardest in conference schedules.

This is bullshite and that's not enough for them, they want the SEC to add another hard conference game while playing hard OOC.

FCUK THEM.

And get rid of the no-sit transfer portal. That coupled with the above would make me happy.

Want to leave to chase NIL $$? Fine. Go ahead. Just sit out the next season then knock yourself out.

Oh, yeah. A team that played Wisconsin on the road as well as two teams that made the CFP. Just like Alabama. Your pithy comment aside, this debate is bigger than one program. For whatever reason you are incapable of seeing the forest through the trees.
