Going to watch but man i liked it best when they were in a sandwich shop. Season 2 and later wasn't a good bit still had good episodes.

I thought season 2 was great, but season 3 was awful. It was so bad that it's seemed to kill any hype the show once had. Didn't even know the new season was dropping this week.

Yeah I still haven’t finished season 3. Honestly don’t even remember what happened nor do I have much interest in trying to rewatch. Maybe if 4 seasons indicates a rebound or at least a return to form I’ll try to catch back up

It may be the most pretentious tv show ever put on film, but as much as I want to hate it I don’t. I’ve heard they were forced to do an extra season which is why 3 felt like it didn’t go anywhere. Hopefully they will get to moving it along this season.

This. Seasons 1&2 is some of my favorite TV ever. Season 3 was so bad I didn’t even finish it and likely won’t return. Should have just been a 1 or 2 season show much like Squid Game

The network made them do 4. The additional season was season 3, basically.

I was disappointed in season 3 because I didn’t see any growth from Carmie whatsoever. He considered growing, but it never happened. Hopefully that fruit will bear(get it?) in season 4.

Finished watching season 4…
In moments it’s fantastic, with some really great acting performances. There was some growth with Carm and especially Richie among other characters, but a lot of it felt like “filler” to the overall story.
Don’t know how long the wait will be until season five to finish it up.

While it’s been a minute since I watched it, it felt like a season that was setting the stage for season 4. So there wasn’t much plot advancement, but I still throughly enjoyed the episodes. Excited for this new season.

I upvoted you, because you were close enough to being right; however, can we stop with the extreme superlatives? S3, while certainly not very good, was most definitely not "awful." Overall I was not a fan, but each individual episode was well made. The issue is that the showrunners lost their way and forgot what made this series so special. It was a bunch of filler eps that didn't advance any of the characters or story, but each ep was well done.
It is looking as if S4 could possibly be the same. I do hope not though

Rapidly giving up on this show. It’s a toss up of pretentiousness or gloom. Nothing makes you honestly feel good about watching it. Used to be a comedy and now it’s an appetizer before slitting your wrist in a warm bath.
Also, they just seem to be giving a book review of Unreasonable Hospitality book this season. Pretty lazy.
