That play will be talked about for ages but what wont be talked about is it should have never happened.

How the hell Wehiwa Aloy, their best player, doesn't attempt that double play from Milam will never make sense to me....

Hard to understand how that play isn't made

Especially with the fact that he made a play on a run that didn’t really matter. My best guess is the runner crossing his face made him second guess his instincts.

Feel for both of those kids. The SS is also the SEC POY. I guess he panicked when he saw the base runner cross his line of sight going to 3rd.

Yeah, totally baffling. It would have been a routine 6-4-3 double play and LSU would be playing again today.

Pretty sure that has been talked about a lot.

I think SVP even said if the 1B makes the right play on Curiel's grounder then Aloy's throw to 3rd ends the game. Chain of dumb events on Arkansas's part.

It was a tough catch made worse by him slipping. Aloy made a little league mental error, way worse.

We would have been upset at my 9u shortstop for that

Now, we would have called time before to make sure everyone knew the runner on 2nd didn’t matter. Maybe DVH could learn from me

I’ll invite him to a practice

And was from a team with a .983 fielding percentage.

Wow.

No guarantee tha Milam would not have been safe. He runs well. Getting the lead runner kept the force intact on all bases.

I’m sure they’ll be crying all the way home with their multi million dollar contracts they have with Arkansas in their Ferraris Jerry jones bought them for NIL.

Doesn't matter - the hogs always choke. They would have fricked up something else. Now my Omaha room just got cheaper. Go Tigahs.
