I’ve got half a million dollars in my vanguard SEP IRA account. I just turned 44. I know I’m a good bit behind most of yall, but I’m trying to catch up. My only debt right now is one truck and my house.

It’s all stock index mutual funds. I’ve got about another 20 years till retirement.

I’m not really sure if this is worth celebrating, but I’m doing my best to reach OT baller status.

I want to thank yall for all the financial advice over the years. I’m really not good a picking stocks (HMBL and UGAZ are going to the moon!!!).

But whatever, it’s time to go to jiu jitsu practice with my daughter. She has a good time. I get my arse kicked and feel like I’m gonna die.

This board is outliers. If you compare to the average and median net worth for you age. You’re kicking arse.

Half a million and you are mid 40's is a significant accomplishment and worth celebrating. Keep the train rolling!

The first $100,000 is the hardest and you got 5 of them now.

Averaging 10% yearly growth, you will be at $3,363,750 in 20 years.

100% and I question how many are truthful on here.

When you look at the average/median numbers for Americans in comparison to the claims on here. You think the cream of the crop in the nation is from Louisiana?

If you opened up a powerlifting forum you'd have a bunch of people saying they squat 500 pounds. It doesn't mean they're lying necessarily. It means that people who squat 500 pounds like to hang out in powerlifting forums.

Congrats man! I’m two years older and haven’t reached that point yet. Hopefully I’ll be there with you in a few years.
