quote:
Require federal revenues received by the state from energy production (including wind, solar, tidal, wave, and other alternative or renewable energy sources) to be deposited in the Coastal Protection and Restoration Fund
YES 1,367,790 (73%)
NO 503,223 (27%)
I assume most of y'all voted yes but interested to hear reasons why/why not

I voted No!
Dumb asses like Me should not be making these kinds of decisions.
The lawmakers should do there jobs.
They are cowards.

Just put the funds in the General Fund and call it a day.

Admittedly I was not a well educated voter on this one but that was my thought too

I voted against it. The legislature should do what they're elected to do and appropriate money properly, based on the States short term and long-term needs. A lot of our State's budget issues come from constitutional and statutory dedications giving no leeway to address fiscal issues that arise other than the usual cuts to the unprotected areas (healthcare and education).
We passed laws to undedicate monies in 1988 to address the State's fiscal crisis, and have spent the time since dedicating monies left and right. It's like they never learn their lesson.

Anything that I see with "solar" is an automatic No from me. I'm tired of adding shite to our state constitution.

No. The only correct answer on how to disburse money is distribute to the citizens or deduct a portion of our state taxes. Anything else will inevitably be wasted anyway.

Voted no.
To vague of wording.
Are we depositing ALL federal funds? Some?
Are there other budget issues more critical?
I just don't like blanket allocation, then they'll be bitching about some shortfall in another area in 2 years.
Appropriate funds according to priority based on revenue.

I voted no
I don’t think it matters either way, the money will be wasted, doesn’t matter what fund it’s pulled from

I voted no. It added more protected funds and we need less of that.

I voted No.
I'm against all quasi governmental agencies that are run by un elected slugs that feed on our tax monies from a protected slush fund. The CPRF can't do shite about the subsidence of uncompacted alluvial soils that make up the marsh of louisiana's coast line.
It will sink forever and there is not one damn thing that no one can do about it
