Hybrids make a lot more sense for trucks.
If they were going to do a full electric truck the Ranger or Maverick would have made more sense from a use standpoint (lighter and more of a commuter vehicle with less towing).

The sound of people banging loudly on their keyboard (especially when I'm trying to concentrate/focus on something). I wore headphones at work a ton when I worked in a cube. It's really bad sometimes when people are banging away on their laptop while sitting through a CLE/CPE. There have been times I really wanted to get up and slam their laptop closed on their hands.
The sound bothered me so much that I ended up handwriting all of my 2nd and 3rd year law exams and the Bar exam itself.

As a MacBook Air and iPad Pro user, I still prefer my Pixel to an iPhone.
I tried to give iPhone a chance and can't stand not being able to set up my phone the way I want to use it. I also second the notion that Android (through Samsung and Pixels) is way ahead of Apple on advancements. Look how long it took to get wireless charging on iPhone (2017) that was available on Nexus 4 back in 2012.
Samsung has great hardware but I prefer getting guaranteed timely software updates on Pixel.

R.S. 14:95.6
quote:
§95.6. Firearm-free zone; notice; signs; crime; penalties
A. A "firearm-free zone" is an area inclusive of any school campus and within one thousand feet of any such school campus, and within a school bus, wherein the possession of firearms is prohibited, except as specifically set forth in Subsection B of this Section and R.S. 14:95.2(C).
R.S. 14:95.2 Section C(8) appears to exempt possession of a gun in your dorm room.
quote:
C. The provisions of this Section shall not apply to:
(8) A student who possesses a firearm in his dormitory room or while going to or from his vehicle or any other person with permission of the administration.
LSU policy and resident life contracts might apply other restrictions (assuming those don't run afoul of the heightened State constitutional gun ownership protections enacted in the last few years), but if the guns are his, legally possessed by him, and in his dorm room, it doesn't appear to violate State law on gun possession and gun free zones based on the language of the statutes, specifically the exemptions carved out above.

I’d say it’s more nuts to wait in line all day to buy raw milk just to take it home and boil it. And I’m not even a raw milk proponent. That just seems like a colossal waste of time.
I know people that buy raw milk to pasteurize it themselves at home. The problem many people have with most commercial milk is that its pasteurized at high temp quickly to save time/money, but that also often kills the taste/flavor. Lower temp for a longer time for pasteurization does a better job of preserving the quality of the milk, its just not as economical for business.

It was sold for the appraised value from what I've read. The parish couldn't sell it for more than that.
Political subdivisions can't buy immovable property (land/building) valued over $3000 without an appraisal and for more than it's appraised value. Further the appraisal cannot consider the improvements the public entity will make after purchasing the property. R.S. 33:4712.10
When selling(surplusing) land, the public entity has to publish the sale and get fair market value (appraised value is minimum they can accept) usually through publicly offering the property up for sale to the highest bidder/offer.

re: Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Cases Involving Transgender Athletes
Posted by LSULaw2009 on 7/3/25 at 1:35 pm to RobbBobb
The answer seems easy enough. The premise behind the transgender movement is that sex does not equal gender.
The segregation of sports is historically based on biological/physiological differences in the sexes. This otherwise discriminatory segregation has historically been justified due to this biological difference based on sex and is even supported by the enactment of Title XI.
A law that enforces segregation of sports based on a historically accepted basis of sex should be legal even if its has the secondary effect of segregating/discriminating based on gender.
The movement can't have it both ways. If sex does not equal gender when it supports their arguments then sex does not equal gender has to still be true when it cuts against them as well.
*edited since apparently the unequal sign changes to ?

Postal employees ae complaining on YouTube videos that their current contract sucks.
They need to fire the entire staff at the Baton Rouge Regional Sorting Facility. I've had one package sitting there for 14 days and another for 9 days (lately seems like packages usually sit there 3-4 days but sometimes fly right through) I submitted help requests and they marked them solved telling me tracking showed they had arrived at the sorting facility. No shite they arrived, the whole point of the request was because they're still there several days later lol
