Where do we stand on this?

Opposing team batters strike out and parents cheer.

Trashy? Normal? Alls fair in competition?

ETA: I don’t have kids; I saw this debate on social media. And coach pitch means coaches pitch not the other team.

There is nothing wrong for cheering on your kids' team mates when they do something good.

You need to coach him up better than that baw and he wouldn’t be striking out

I cheer when my son strikes a kid out. Does that constitute me chiding the kid getting struck out?

You can't cheer out loud unless its high level travel ball and even then its frowned upon.

Sounds like the team needs a better pitcher.

Why wouldn't a parent cheer when their kid strikes someone out?

OP said coach pitch. Its much different if a kid strikes another kid out. In that case you are cheering FOR the pitcher not against the batter. When coach's are pitching, you are literally cheering because little timmy isn't coordinated.

In 7/8’s???

That’s fricking insane. I don’t care what level of ball it is. If a 7 or 8 year old kid is striking out, it’s not because another child had a better day. fricking sad

You sound like you grew up in a trailer park. Just because you're an over-competitive a-hole who never reached his high school sports goals, doesn't mean you also can't realize that an adult cheering against an 8 year old child is classless, tasteless, and the trailer trash that does this deserves his/her arse kicked.

Not a big deal. The pitcher's parents have the right to celebrate. The batter's parents are going to celebrate twice as much when little Tony rips a triple on said pitcher.

Would never openly do it, but if it played a big part in my kid's team winning, I would silently celebrate.

Agreed. This leads to them wanting to cut their peeners off when they are teenagers. Shame those kids to tears, make them stronger, save their penises
