I've probably been pulled over 6-7 times in my life, mostly in my younger years. 95% of those times has been a very cordial and transactional interaction. I'd say 50/50 warning vs ticket ratio.

Only one time was a cop unreasonable-- I was going to Wal Mart at about midnight just before the spring semester started at LSU and was probably going 30 in a 20 on campus. Cop started following me and I ended up behind two cars at a red light. Cop pulled me over, had me get out and yelled at me for drinking and driving with my buddies ahead of me and I was lucky he wasn't taking me to jail. I was stone cold sober and had no clue who the people in front of me were. After a couple minutes of checking documents cop must have realized he was wrong and had nothing on me so on my way I went.

I got beat up by 2 cops in the lobby of the police station for a fake ID I didn't have.

Scruffy has only had one interaction with the police in his 36 years of being alive. Pulled over right after getting his license.

It isn’t hard to avoid interacting with them.

Just follow traffic laws as instructed and there you go.

Got the restraining chair because I argued with them. Got released a couple of hours later. BS.

I was racially profiled by a white cop in BR. It was after Gustav and I was driving around Thomas Delpit checking on some construction projects we had going on at work.

Was pulled over bc I was white in a black neighborhood and he thought I was looking for dope. The storm dried up a lot of connects.

He let me go but not before asking if I had a gun. I said, no. He replied, it’s okay if you do. It’s legal. And you probably should.

I got a ticket once. I didn't think I was wrong so I went to court. DA saw my name on my license and asked me about my pawpaw (who died before I was born) and let me go. Got pulled over after getting married and husband fussed because he was going to have to call and get the ticket fixed. I have not had bad police interactions

I’m sure there’s more to this story.

Not sure if I'd say it was a terrible interaction or somewhat deserved, but a friend and I had left the old Sugars strip club and drove to Glens Bombay Club only to find Glen's was closed for remodeling or something. On our way back up Corporate we were pulled over for speeding and quickly the cop had me in the backseat of his car. He asked how many drinks I'd had and I honestly told him 2 beers at Sugars. Well, he goes and asks my friend the same thing and that dumb arse tells him I'd only had 2 beers at Glens. The cop comes back cursing me out saying I'd lied to him. When I told him Glens was closed and he could call and check, he refused to do so. He continued cursing and threatening to take me to jail and then out of nowhere says "GTFO of here. I never saw you."

1 am in Welsh after a Charles Wesley Godwin concert. I didn’t come to a complete stop at the exit ramp stop sign so he pulled me over. He ordered me out of the truck and had me perform all those drills to see if I had been drinking. I told him a million times I hadn’t drank (which was the truth) and to just breathalyze me. I had nothing to hide, yet he kept making me do those drills for a good 15 minutes. He was a douchebag and still gave me a ticket.

When I was in HS, I had a cop tell me his partner in another vehicle caught me doing 50 in a 30. The cop already had someone pulled over and I saw him from a half mile away so I was doing 30. Sat there and argued with him until he knew I wasn’t going to admit to speeding and he finally let me go. It was around the end of December so I know he was trying to make his quota.

Car was broken into on LSU campus. A cop must have noticed and put a bag on the window and a card on my car seat, so I call it. Cops come by.

They start theorizing a lawn clipping from a mower launched 20 feet under a tree, broke my window, and rummaged through my stuff.

They then imply I staged the whole thing.

So pretty much tip top assholes.

There was a cop in Zachary that used to like to slap teenagers around. He is now the mayor.

I had the wrong last name up there. Every time I was pulled over, my car was searched. Once, a cop saw that I had a taillight out on the way to school. He was waiting for me when I left and searched my car in the school parking lot.

I had a cop tie me to a bed and frick my brains out. Turns out the cop was my wife (no pics) and we were role playing but she committed to the part and had me confessing to crimes that hadn't even been committed yet.

Me and a bud used to walk around military bases a lot at kids. At around 15 we were just walking a random road and a car was on the side of the road. Me being a dumb and curious 15 year old decide to look into each window of the car.

Approximately, 15 seconds later the MPs show up with guns drawn and tell me and friend to get down on the ground.

Long story short, there had been a string of car break-ins and the car was a sting car. Oh and pops was a CSM at the time and didn't appreciate a gun pointed at his kid. So that was an interesting conversation at the station.

I have so many to choose from.

Cops in my hometown (beach tourist destination) didn't have any tourist in the winter, but were still manned for the influx of spring and summer. They just harassed the local teenagers in the off season. I was pulled over 19 times before my 18th birthday. Only got 2 tickets out of those 19 times.

I've also come down stairs and had 10 cops standing in my house, uninvited.

I'm generally not a huge fan of cops.

Got pulled over for going 30 in a 25 on my street when I was in college. Back when I had a run down car. Cop asked me to get out of car and asked to search. I was very cordial and accepted. (This was at like 10am on a Wednesday. Obviously sober and nothing bad in my car).

Cop tore my car up searching for anything. Didnt put anything back in its place when he was done. Still gave me a speeding ticket. I was pretty pissed to be honest and not even as much about the speeding ticket. Never had a bad moment being pulled over by cop any other time in my life but this one made me realize there are certainly some dicks out there.

I told the cops they couldn't go inside of a private residence during a party in college. They got pissed and put me in the car and then went inside anyway and essentially made everyone leave and turn music down. They drove me 3 miles to police station and let me out the car in the parking lot. I asked, "now what?" They said you are free to walk home. I was pissed as a 21 yr old kid but it worked out pretty well looking back on it. I stopped and got a beer at the gas station near State Street for my walk back across campus to southside of LSU to Brightside. Its a good story. I'm sure both them and I were being arse Holes that day...
